Rogue Roasters' coffees are only made from the best arabica beans from all over the world. These beans are grown on small family owned farms that show environmental responsibility by maintaining native plants for bird-friendly canopy shade cover. Hand picked, fair trade and/or direct trade is our highest priority when purchasing beans. All coffees are micro-roasted in small 15 lb. batches assuring the smoothest experience possible.

We have searched far and wide to find the best Organic Whole Leaf Teas available. All of our teas are family grown, hand rolled and packed full of antioxidants.
All of us at Rogue Roasters pride ourselves in being a micro-roaster. Being a micro-roaster means that we roast our coffee in small batches. By using a small roaster to cook our coffees we have a level of control that isn't possible with larger roasters. In our roasting process we can ensure that every bean is cooked evenly.
Our specific micro-roasting technique removes the chaff from every coffee bean without drying out the beans like an air roaster does. The chaff is the skin or hull of a coffee bean, much like a spanish peanut has a red skin. The chaff is the cause for the bitterness that you taste in large commercial coffees. Not only is our coffee not bitter, it is smooth and full in flavor! In addition we collect all of our left over chaff and donate it to our community gardeners, as it is a great soil enhancer. Return it to the earth!
As much as we are passionate and proud of our roasting process, we consider the source of our green coffee beans to be just as important. Living in a capitalistic world like ours it is easy to close our eyes and search for the best deal possible. However, it is our philosophy and practice to pay more to insure that the process of growing the beans, purchasing the beans, and shipping the beans is ethical. Both the beans and the people involved in these processes are a concern to us. That is why we buy Organic, Fair Trade / Direct Trade, Shade Grown, and Handpicked beans.
